Accessibility Statement
Last updated July 31, 2026 · Reviewed quarterly
NeighborLink is committed to digital accessibility for everyone, including people with disabilities. We treat accessibility as a continuing obligation and a core part of how we design, build, test, and operate our website and platform — not a one-time checkbox.
Our commitment
Every person who interacts with a NeighborLink community — board members, homeowners, residents, and their families — deserves equal access to information and services with independence and dignity. We commit to: measuring our website and platform against WCAG 2.1 AA; fixing barriers as we find them or as they are reported; building accessibility into our design system and development process so new pages start accessible; and providing accessible alternatives and reasonable accommodations on request.
Conformance status
We consider our website to be partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA — most content meets the standard, and we are remediating the areas that do not yet fully conform. “Partially conformant” means some content may not yet meet every success criterion; where that is the case, we work to remediate it and to offer an accessible alternative in the meantime.
How we meet the four WCAG principles
Perceivable
Meaningful images include text alternatives; we design for sufficient color contrast and readable typography; content is structured with proper headings and landmarks; and layouts reflow for zoom and small screens without loss of content.
Operable
Interactive elements are reachable and usable by keyboard, focus is visible, and we avoid content that flashes or traps focus. Navigation is consistent, links are descriptive, and a “skip to content” link is provided.
Understandable
We write in plain language where possible, label form fields clearly, describe errors and how to fix them, and keep interactions predictable across the site.
Robust
We use semantic HTML and appropriate ARIA so content works reliably with current browsers and assistive technologies, and we validate our markup.
On-site accessibility tools
Every page includes a built-in accessibility menu (the accessibility button in the lower-left corner) that lets you adjust text size, enable a high-contrast mode, underline links, and reduce motion — with your preferences remembered across the site. These tools supplement, and do not replace, your own operating-system and browser accessibility settings and assistive technologies.
Assistive technology & compatibility
We aim to support recent versions of major browsers (Chrome, Safari, Firefox, and Edge) on desktop and mobile, and common assistive technologies, including screen readers (such as NVDA, JAWS, and VoiceOver), screen magnifiers, voice-control software, and keyboard-only navigation. If you use an older browser or assistive technology, some features may not perform as intended, and we are glad to help.
Our ongoing accessibility program
Accessibility is maintained through a combination of automated testing, manual review, and keyboard and screen-reader checks during design and before release; periodic audits of key pages and flows; accessibility guidance embedded in our component library; and prompt remediation of issues we discover or that are reported to us. We review this statement and our practices on at least a quarterly basis.
Known limitations
Despite our efforts, some limitations may remain — for example third-party embedded tools or content we do not fully control, certain complex interactive components, and older documents. Where we identify a limitation, we prioritize a fix and provide an accessible alternative in the interim. We welcome reports that help us find issues faster.
Alternative formats & accommodations
If you need information from this website, your community’s portal, or your association’s records in an alternative accessible format — or need assistance completing a task — contact us and we will provide the information or service through an accessible means at no additional cost.
Feedback & how to reach us
Your feedback helps us improve. If you encounter a barrier, please tell us the page address and a description of the problem: email accessibility@neighborlink.co or use our contact form. We aim to acknowledge accessibility requests within two business days and to resolve reported issues as quickly as reasonably possible, or to provide a timeline and an accessible alternative while we do.
Formal concerns
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may request a review by contacting us again and asking that your concern be escalated. We take accessibility seriously and will make good-faith efforts to resolve it.
This statement reflects our current accessibility goals, program, and efforts, and is provided for general information. Accessibility standards and legal requirements evolve, and we update our practices and this statement over time.
